Unit 2 - The Journey On - Relaxation Exercise

This relaxation exercise was absolutely great!  It is an autogenic training method, one in which I have used before.  This exercise exemplifies exactly what our unit entailed this week which is that we CAN train our mind, very simply, to relax and slow our bodies down.  I use this method weekly when I participate in Yoga.  I used to just let stress run my mind and body, but through the help of meditation and soft music I have been able to really take the stress out of my life.  I chose to do this exercise on the last day of our school week (Tuesday) as I knew I was going to be extra anxious about completing all of the course work this week for 3 classes.  Once I was done with this exercise I felt so relaxed and much more focused on the tasks at hand.  It also helped me with the overwhelmed feeling that I have had the last two days!  Great exercise for the mind!
